We are looking for a Tech Lead to drive the development of backend-first systems for live gaming. You will lead a team of 4 developers building software to manage real-time game events, machine state, and data flows, connecting physical machines, game services, and React-based frontends. You will also leverage AI-driven tools to improve automation, reliability, and operational insight.
YOUR MISSION:
- Lead the design and implementation of backend systems supporting live dealer games.
- Own real-time, event-driven services that process machine events, game states, and player outcomes.
- Design and maintain software integrations with physical gaming machines and control systems.
- Ensure consistency between physical machine behavior, backend logic, and frontend representation.
- Define and own APIs consumed by player-facing and operational React applications.
- Contribute to and review React-based frontends (monitoring tools, admin panels, live views).
- Architect and integrate AI-driven capabilities such as anomaly detection, automation, operational insights, or intelligent tooling.
- Identify practical AI use cases to improve system stability, quality control, and live operations.
- Drive effective use of AI developer tools to improve delivery speed and code quality.
- Own release readiness, live incident response, and post-incident improvements.
- Continuously improve system architecture, tooling, and development processes.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE COMPANY:
- Strong experience as a Backend Engineer with Node.js and/or Python.
- Experience building real-time or event-driven systems in production.
- Proven experience integrating software systems with external hardware or devices (software-side).
- Hands-on experience with React and modern frontend development practices.
- Experience leading or mentoring engineers in a live or production-critical environment.
- Strong understanding of state management, data consistency, and event processing.
- Experience integrating AI-powered services or automation into production systems.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring/observability.
- Awareness of security, reliability, and operational risks in live systems.
- Clear communication skills and strong ownership mindset.
NICE TO HAVE/ADVANTAGE:
- Experience with live gaming, broadcast systems, or real-time transactional platforms.
- Exposure to regulated environments or certification processes.
- Experience with LLMs, prompt design, or AI orchestration frameworks.
- Background in building internal operational or studio-facing tools.
